What you get after installing

From the official Steam listing, the Demo build includes:

• The opening stretch of a 19th-century Eastern Europe twisted by dark magic, playing a fallen soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée
• First-person soulslike combat blending a rapier with pistol gunplay
• Resurrection used as a tactical advantage rather than only a fail state
• Save Anytime, so you can stop mid-session without losing progress
• Full controller support, including DualSense

Install checklist

2. Install to an SSD — 50 GB, and load-heavy soulslike areas punish spinning disks
3. Update your GPU drivers before the first launch
4. Launch once and set your sensitivity, FOV, and subtitles before combat starts
5. Skim weapons & abilities so you don’t miss a core mechanic in the first hour

Does Demo progress carry to the full game?

Not confirmed. One More Level has not published a save-transfer or carry-over policy for the Demo, and we will not guess at one. Plan the Demo as a self-contained sample: play it to decide whether the full game is for you, not to bank progress.

Where to get the full game

The full release is a separate paid product — Valor Mortis on Steam, app id 2828710, launching October 13, 2026. Wishlisting it there is the only official way to be notified at launch.

Console versions have not been announced. Only PC/Steam is confirmed.
