You do not have to wait for October to try Valor Mortis. A free Demo has been on Steam since June 7, 2026 as a separate app (4641840), and it includes Save Anytime so you can stop and resume.

What the full game is
You play a fallen soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée, resurrected into a 19th-century Eastern Europe twisted by dark magic — a first-person action soulslike where melee and gunplay are fused, and where resurrection is a tactical tool rather than only a fail state. What is still unannounced
Being honest about the gaps matters more than filling them:
- Price. No figure is listed on the Steam page yet.
- Console releases. No PS5, Xbox, or Switch 2 version has been announced. The only confirmed platform is Steam.
- Editions and pre-order bonuses. Nothing published.
- Whether Demo progress carries over. No save-transfer policy has been stated.
- Full-game content scope. Area count, boss count, and run length are all unknown outside the Demo slice.

Will the date slip?
It can. October 13, 2026 is the developer’s current target on a live store listing, not a shipped fact. Soulslike projects from small teams have moved before.
